NATE GRIFFIN
I first picked up a still camera while producing a documentary in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. This experience and my on going career as a production designer have heavily influenced my style of photography throughout the years. If it's a documentary shoot in North Korea or an album shoot in Nashville the chemistry between photographer and subject or situation has it's own kind of magic. There is no replacing the reflexive capture of a 'perfect' frame. This in itself is a completely subjective thing of course. I am not, however, a purist when it comes to the whole idea of photography. The wonder of modern technology is at our finger tips. There is no end to what can be. The production designer in me is delighted at the possibilities! My team and I shoot anywhere a plane, train or mule can take us. I am a commercial, narrative and fine art photographer.
